29th June 2012: Canterbury Cathedral Lodge celebrates Kent Excellence in Business best tourism business success.
Canterbury Cathedral Lodge has been celebrating making the finals of the Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA) best leisure and tourism business of the year. The highly regarded award is given to a business that demonstrates outstanding performance in the delivery of leisure, tourism, visitor attractions or hospitality. Forty businesses made it through to the KEiBA finals in 13 categories and Canterbury Cathedral Lodge was the only hotel and conference venue amongst them.
23rd May 2012: Canterbury Cathedral Lodge is delighted to earn 2012 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence Award.
Honored as a Highly Rated Hotel as reviewed by travellers on the World’s Largest Travel Site. The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor. To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor.
Wednesday 25th March 2012: Cathedral Lodge Wins Excellence In Customer Service Award
We are delighted to announce that Canterbury Cathedral Lodge has won the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce 'Excellence In Customer Service' Award. John Mearden, Receiver General for Canterbury Cathedral, said "This is a great tribute to everyone who works at the Lodge and ISC as they were up against competition from across the county, including very large organisations of great repute.

In May 2011, the City of Canterbury was named as one of the UK’s top tourist destinations by a leading travel website. TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice awards placed Canterbury at 14, ahead of Manchester, St Ives in Cornwall and Cardiff. At the top was London followed by Edinburgh and Bath.
