TripAdvisor Exceptional Service Nomination for India11 Feb 2015
Cathedral Lodge Receptionist India Marsh, has been nominated for an Exceptional Service Award by the popular online travel website Tripadvisor.
Speaking after the announcement was made General Manager, Richard Moppett said: “India is at the front line of our guest welcome to the Lodge, and I frequently receive individual written comments from our customers regarding the extra lengths she has gone to in assisting them during their stay. It is particularly rewarding that her customer care has been recognised on a public forum such as Tripadvisor, for all to see, and I would like to add my personal congratulations on her achievement”.
India is both delighted and baffled by her nomination: “I’m thrilled with this recognition. It’s a nice reward for the Lodge and reflects not just on me but on the whole team”.
The Exceptional Service Award campaign was launched in October 2014 as a means to recognise and honour the dedication that some properties take to provide remarkable service.
According to the website, a recent survey showed that 67% of travellers think hospitality professionals do not get enough recognition for their efforts. TripAdvisor are currently reviewing all the nominations for accommodation, restaurant and attraction professionals who have put in extra effort to delight travellers from the past year.
Barbara Messing, Chief Marketing Officer for TripAdvisor, notes that: “Hospitality professionals can be the difference-maker between what makes a trip simply good or absolutely amazing, and TripAdvisor wants to help shine a spotlight on those who do it best”.
TripAdvisor has, for three consecutive years, awarded a Certificate of Excellence to the Cathedral Lodge.
